Citizens for Safe Neighborhoods has filed an appeal of Sonoma County Superior Court Judge Elliot Daum’s ruling that allowed for the expansion of the Bodean asphalt plant without environmental review on January 31, 2014. Stay tuned for updates!
January 24th & 25th & 31st & February 1st 2015 – Two weekends ! 9 a.m. to Noon Signature Collection for BoDean Asphalt petition- We are asking S. R. City Council to look into the Industrial Noise and business hours that are impacting our homes, families and health- what can we do? Volunteer to gather signatures the next – at the Safeways on Marlow and 4th St. This is the only way to make our City Council pay attention. Community members and neighbors will collect for first two weekends- Labor Unions will collect signatures for next two weekends. Goal- to collect a massive amount of signature for petition to SR City Council requesting that they investigate the BoDeans impacts especially Noise & Hours. Between both groups- neighbors and unions- we should be able to make an impression on our city government. Consider putting your time into this- we can work in teams to make it more enjoyable. October 12, 2014 Sunday 9 a.m. to Noon– Precinct Walking. Things are really heating up in the BoDean battle. We have support from the labor groups to bring this issue to the forefront as an election issue. It is important to invest time now to raise the public’s awareness of what exactly is going on at BoDean Asphalt.
We need 5 community members to step up and spend 3 hours, 9 a.m. to noon, THIS Sunday October 12th to walk precincts along with 5-10 union volunteers.

Show your concern about the effects that the BoDean Asphalt Plant has on our families…. dust, toxic chemical emissions, round the clock operations, noise and increased truck traffic- it’s not healthy or family friendly.
